Kuala Selangor, a small town conquered by Dutch in 1784, is most famous for its fireflies sanctuaries. It is said that this is one of the biggest firefly colonies in the world. Not to mention the delicious seafood in the most scenic location. It is located well off the normal tourism route and hence, still maintains its traditional village atmosphere. Best choice for a long peaceful ride away from the busy city.
In this tour we will also bring you to the Bukit Melawati. This small peak was once a mighty fortress build to safeguard the state. The Altingburg Light house continues to be the main attraction with awesome view of the Straits of Malacca. You will also get the chance to meet our very own Silver Leaf Monkeys. The little baby monkeys are born to a golden color which eventually turns black like the adults.
Fireflies Boat Tour
You will witness the fireflies hovering on the river in Kuala Selangor. It takes about half an hour to complete the tour while you’re in the middle of the tour the boat stops at a station where you can observe the nature light show.
Seafood Dinner
Prior to firefly and eagle boat tour, you will have dinner at one of the many seafood restaurants inside the park. These restaurants are known for its delicious seafood dishes which is located near the waterfront. Your guide will take you to the best restaurant of that row.
Malay Village Pass By
The Malay village that has been maintained along the river. There continue to be natives residing in the area where traditional houses and their culture are preserved. It is a good educational experience for both locals and foreigners taking our tour.
Bukit Melawati
Your driver will also accompany you to the Bukit Melawati peak to enjoy the scenery. This is a historical place because it is where the old Malaysian Fortress stood. Tourists will learn more about Malaysian history during this tour.
Silverleaf Monkey Feeding
In Bukit Melawati peak, you will have an opportunity to interact with the Silverleaf Monkey which is also a native species in the area. These are unique apes because the younger silverleaf monkeys have golden hair. You get to feed and interact with them during scheduled feeding sessions.
Eagle Feeding
You will also encounter the eagle feeding at this village right before going for the magnificent Fireflies watching. You will be able to experience over 20 eagle flying on top of the boat waiting for their food from the boatmen.
