Itinerary

Day 1ARRIVAL AT BAKU

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel for check-in, followed by some free time to rest and freshen up. As the sun begins to set, the group will assemble in the hotel lobby for a scenic evening city tour by car, beginning with a leisurely funicular ride. The experience continues with a visit to Highland Park and the Alley of Martyrs, offering panoramic views over Baku and the Caspian Sea, followed by a drive past the National Assembly, also known as Milli Majlis, and the striking Flame Towers—the tallest skyscrapers in the city, illuminated in dazzling displays after dusk. The evening concludes with a comfortable transfer back to your hotel.

Day 2BAKU CITY TOUR

After breakfast at the hotel, the day’s exploration begins with a guided visit to the Old City, the historical core of Baku and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000, where ancient walls, the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, and the iconic Maiden Tower reveal the city’s rich past. The journey continues to the world’s largest Miniature Book Museum, housing over 3,750 tiny publications from 73 countries, including an extraordinary volume measuring just 0.75 mm, viewable only under a microscope. Next, stroll through the bustling Nizami Street, a vibrant hub for shopping and people-watching, and pause at Fountains Square, known for its charming water features and lively atmosphere. The afternoon offers a walk along Baku Boulevard, stretching along the Caspian coastline, where you can admire the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum from the outside before enjoying photo stops at the picturesque “Little Venice” canals and the Ferris Wheel, which offers sweeping views of the city and sea. After a day rich in culture and sights, return to the hotel for an evening at leisure.

Day 3GABALA & SHAMAKHI EXCURSION

Following breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Gabala, passing through the historic town of Shamakhi along the way. Your first stop will be the ancient Juma Mosque, one of the oldest in the Caucasus region, followed by a visit to the serene Nohur Lake, surrounded by lush forested mountains and offering peaceful photo opportunities. Continue to the Gabala Shooting Club, where guests can try their hand at target shooting (at their own expense), before heading to the Gabala Cable Car complex to ascend the mountains for breathtaking panoramic views. Later, explore the vibrant Gabaland amusement park, a family-friendly attraction with rides, games, and entertainment for all ages. As the day draws to a close, return to Baku for an overnight stay.

Day 4GOBUSTAN & ABSHERON TOUR

After breakfast, set off for Gobustan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its ancient rock carvings, depicting scenes of hunting, dancing, and daily life dating back thousands of years. The journey continues to the nearby mud volcanoes, where you can witness these fascinating geological phenomena bubbling and gurgling across the barren landscape. In the afternoon, explore the Absheron Peninsula, starting with the Ateshgah Fire Temple in Surakhani, once a place of worship for Zoroastrians, Hindus, and Sikhs, followed by the mesmerizing natural flames of Yanar Dag, a hillside that has been burning for centuries due to underground gas emissions. Return to the hotel in Baku for a night of rest.

Day 5GUBA TOUR

After enjoying breakfast, depart for the picturesque region of Guba, known for its scenic landscapes and cultural diversity. The journey takes you through rolling hills and apple orchards, leading to the mesmerizing Afurdja Waterfall, a popular spot for nature photography. Continue to Qecresh Forest, a tranquil woodland ideal for a refreshing walk amidst fresh mountain air, before visiting the village of Khinalig—one of the highest and most ancient mountain settlements in the Caucasus, inhabited for over 5,000 years and rich in unique traditions. As the day winds down, return to Baku for an overnight stay.

Day 6LANKARAN TOUR

Following breakfast, travel to Lankaran, a historic city near the southern border of Azerbaijan. Visit the 18th-century Lankaran Fortress and Lighthouse, significant landmarks of the region, before exploring the Hiran Lake area for its peaceful scenery. Enjoy a traditional Azerbaijani lunch (optional) before heading to the thermal springs for a relaxing experience (own expense). The day also includes a visit to the Khan’s House, showcasing local architectural heritage. In the evening, journey back to Baku for an overnight stay

Day 7FREE DAY IN BAKU

Today is left free for you to explore Baku at your own pace. You may choose to revisit your favorite spots, indulge in shopping for local crafts and souvenirs, relax in one of the city’s many cafes, or simply stroll along the seaside promenade. Optional tours and activities can be arranged upon request.

Day 8DEPARTURE

After breakfast, enjoy some leisure time until your scheduled transfer to the airport. Bid farewell to the beautiful city of Baku, taking with you unforgettable memories of its history, culture, and landscapes
