Tour Details

The tour of South America begins in Sao Paulo, a vast metropolis and world centre of entertainment, culture, fashion and business. Discover its attractions on a panoramic tour. From Sao Paulo, depart to the famous Iguaçu Falls. Admire the impressive set of 275 waterfalls on the border of Brazil and Argentina. Also, visit the Bird Park, a conservation centre with more than 150 species of birds on 16 hectares of vegetation, on the Brazilian side. Then, set out on the road to the unsurpassed Rio de Janeiro and have a delicious dinner with a traditional samba show, where you will join the ‘carioca’ party. At Rio, meet some of the emblems of the city: Cerro Corcovado, the hill crowned by the famous Christ the Redeemer; the Maracana stadium, historical scene of world football; and end the day visiting the Colonial River, an area that preserves extraordinary 19th-century buildings. Spend the last day in Rio de Janeiro ascending the famous hill known as Sugarloaf Mountain, whose peculiar shape defines the iconic silhouette of the city. Observe the panoramic view of all Rio before continuing to the Tijuca Forest where you will take a jeep tour. This immense National Park is one of the most important in Brazil, encompassing part of the city and a forest area of impressive biological diversity. Continue the journey to Lima, the capital of Peru, and, then, depart to the Capital of the Inca Empire: Cusco. Connect with the mysticism, traditions and culture of the Andes by visiting some of the archaeological sites in the city and nearby areas. Conclude this visit to South America by visiting Machu Picchu, the Wonder of the World, iconic work of the largest pre-Columbian civilization that inhabited America.

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Sao Paulo: the nightlife of this city is considered one of the bests in the world. Take advantage of a large variety of theatres, bars, restaurants, museums or cultural centres to get up close to the ‘Paulista’ lifestyle.

Iguaçu Falls: get in touch with nature in this impressive natural wonder, which besides having the magnificent set of waterfalls, is the habitat of a large amount of fauna.

Cusco: the ancient Inca capital keeps a unique mix of pre-Columbian past and Spanish architecture. Its temples, squares and streets are surrounded by hills which hide impressive sites such as Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, PukaPukará and Tambomachay.

Machu Picchu: the “lost city of the Incas” is the reason why thousands of people arrive in Peru. Hidden among the vegetation, get closer to our past through its rooms, temples, bridges and religious sites, built in communion with the surrounding landscape.
